Viewing & Managing Submissions

The Submissions page is where you'll view and manage all form submissions. Each submission contains the data submitted through your form, along with metadata like IP address, timestamp, and spam status.

Accessing Submissions

Navigate to any form and click on the "Submissions" tab in the form's navigation menu. You'll see a list of all submissions received by that form.

Submissions are only stored if data retention is enabled for your form. Check the General Settings if you're not seeing submissions.

Understanding Submission Data

Each submission displays:

  • Form Fields: All data submitted through your form fields
  • Metadata: IP address, submission timestamp, user agent, and more
  • Spam Status: Whether the submission was flagged as spam

Viewing Submission Details

Click on any submission to view its full details:

  • Header Information: Submission ID, timestamp, and status
  • Form Data: All submitted field values in an organized layout
  • Metadata: Technical details like IP address, user agent, and referrer
  • Actions: Options to mark as spam, block IP, delete, or label

Use submission details to understand your audience better. Metadata can help you identify patterns in submissions.

Managing Spam Submissions

Basestack Forms automatically detects spam submissions using AI models. Spam submissions are:

  • Labeled: Clearly marked with a spam indicator
  • Filtered: Can be hidden from the main view using filters
  • Preserved: Not deleted, allowing you to review false positives

Marking Submissions as Spam

You can manually mark submissions as spam:

  1. Open a submission's details
  2. Click the spam action button
  3. The submission will be marked and filtered accordingly

Blocking IP Addresses

If you notice spam from a specific IP address:

  1. Open the submission details
  2. Click "Block IP" in the actions menu
  3. The IP will be added to your block list

Blocked IPs are managed in Security Settings. Learn more about Security Settings →.

Filtering Submissions

Use filters to find specific submissions:

  • Spam Filter: Show only spam or only legitimate submissions
  • Date Range: Filter by submission date
  • Search: Search through submission data

Filters help you focus on what matters. Use them to quickly find submissions that need attention.

Exporting Submissions

You can export submission data for analysis or backup:

  1. Use filters to select the submissions you want to export
  2. Click the export action
  3. Choose your preferred format (CSV, etc.)
  4. Download the file
